Attractive wife leads to stronger marriage, study suggests

A study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology concludes that, for men, an attractive wife leads to a more satisfying marriage.

The study was designed to determine if a partner’s attractiveness contributed toward having a more satisfying union by monitoring 450 newly-married couples for four years. It discovered that men married to an attractive spouse tend to be more committed to their marriage and are more concerned with satisfying their wife’s needs. Consequently, a good-looking wife was found to be more satisfied because of a “happier” husband.

Due to varied factors, many couples may find themselves stuck in an unsatisfactory marriage, causing them to consider filing for a divorce. Richard Gere and wife Carey Lowell end 11 years of marriage, headed to divorce

Actor Richard Gere and his wife of 11 years, Carey Lowell, have separated and are planning to file for divorce, according to the New York Post.

It is believed that the couple’s different lifestyles led them to arrive at this decision. Gere, 64, and Lowell, 52, have “been spending time apart for quite some time,” according to the report.

A source added that, “They have a place in Bedford [NY], and he likes it because it’s quiet and he likes the solitude,” while Lowell “likes being in North Haven in the limelight. They live next door to Jimmy Buffett and his family, and they’re good friends.”

The two have a 13-year-old son together. They met in 1995 and got married in 2002.

Kim-Lene names sister-in-law in divorce

One of the accused Kauffman County murderers, Kim-Lene, recently refiled for divorce from former Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Eric Williams, naming her sister-in-law as a defendant.

Both Kim-Lene and Williams were detained on capital murder charges for the death of assistant Kaufman County District Attorney Mark Hasse, who was killed in January of this year, and the March 30th murders of District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia. The trial for these cases has yet to start and the couple is pending punishment or acquittal.

In her latest filing, Kim-Lene wrote that she and Eric have been married in 1996 but “ceased to live together as husband and wife on or about April 12, 2013.” Her new testimony included the addition of Eric’s sister, Tera Bellemare, as Kim-Lene claims Bellemare is using Williams’ property and is continuing to convert said property on a monthly basis.
